Where have you been all my life?

well you might have noticed something missing for the past oh 6.5 months - me! you know you pay for something and you'd think you'd use it. well, the hiatus began when the last spring semester of school began. then, i had all summer off to take a breather, but i never got the gumption to get off my lasy rear and do a site revamp. the sad thing is that it only took me about 35 minutes to archive, create a few new graphics, redo the sidebars, and type this blog. yes, blog. that is the technical term for these things we do. so to hit the high notes of the hiatus: garry kasparov drew in a six game match with deep junior and i consequently got into chess like no other; syracuse - led by carmelo anthony - won the ncaa tourney; baseball regular season began; i transferred to a different technology at work and things started to rapidly get better; we moved to an apartment a little further away from dc proper; brad, a groomsmen in my wedding, got married; we went home to tn for a week and half around memorial day; i started working with the middle schoolers at church; the spurs won the nba finals to bookend the lakers' threepeat; we vacationed with friends at a beach in new jersey for july 4th; i officiated at my best man jared's wedding; we went home to knoxville for a long labor day weekend; fall semester started with 9 hours (eek!); i saw the redskins play the giants; baseball regular season ended; and somewhere in there we found out that L is PREGNANT and we are expecting our first child!!!! (currently in the 17th week of 40)
