interesting story

had a good weekend, read an interesting story (ugh - quick registration required) in the washington post magazine about this guy who is trying (and staying close) to have a drink at every starbucks coffee store in the world. the story is very well written and actually focuses more on the social detachment of this philosopher nomad who strikes up an internet relationship via his blog of his starbucks conquest.

keep reading. he sleeps in his car and doesn't eat much. basically he works a contract programming job for a couple of months, sells some of his 20,000 comics, gets his stash up to about $2,000 and hits the road. a philosopher nomad with no real home.
