first day of class

in about 45 minutes, i'll start my first on-campus class during the workday. it's the pauline epistles class and though it will require a lot of work, i'm looking forward to it. then, tonite at 5:30pm i meet with my bioethics class for about 30 minutes to determine when we'll meet for class. we only have to meet for six 2-hour sessions so i've heard we'll schedule them for every other week. hopefully, it'll be in the evening and at a reasonable time so i can pick jake up and trade off with lindsay like we did last semester. since the meeting is at 5:30 tonite, i'm having to pick up jake and then take him to the meeting since lindsay doesn't get off work until 5:30. hopefully it'll take him a good portion of the time to get through a happy meal and then play with toys. it could wind up being an adventure.

i still only have six hours this semester, but i've got 3 classes - a 3 hour, a 2 hour, and a 1 hour. i've told you about the first two and the third is actually taking place on two fridays in orlando, florida. the first is feb. 24th and i'll get to see the washington nationals practice the next morning (woohoo!). i've already gotten my plane ticket for the first weekend and work is paying for the second (april 21st). i'll get to do some work at our orlando campus while i'm down there the second weekend. this class is a spiritual formation class on the broad topic of prayer. after getting my books for the class, i'm looking forward to the class even more.
