umm happy new year!

yeah, whoops. just one of those blogging lulls.

not that i didn't have things to say, just didn't think about it!

we went to knoxville for christmas (thanksgiving was in nashville this year) and had a great time, as always. we left on saturday in order to be back for church in paris on sunday. on average, i've been preaching about one service per sunday. sometimes it's two, sometimes zero with different things going on. overall, it is great experience and i'm enjoying the frenetic pace of diving into four new passages (via the revised common lectionary) for each sunday.

we also had a christmas cantata at church and lindsay and i each sang solos. first time in quite a while for either of us, but the whole program came together really well.

the new year has started rolling along. work is busier, brooke is back home with us from her christmas break, jake is learning about planets, lindsay's office is adding another patient day, and i'm scheduled to get my braces off in ~5.5 weeks !
