sad tv news for me
well, i finished one of those silly e.mail forward surveys this morning and at lunch i happened to look up the tv show and found out that this will be 7th Heaven's last season. ten seasons and i've been watching the show religiously for about 7-8 of those (well, i guess it's 9 because i remember watching it freshman year in college and the show started during my senior year of high school). anyways, this season has been one of the best after a few lackluster seasons where they over-expanded the already large cast.

nationals need an owner
we've got a few great candidates, but the thing is turning into a Nationals disgrace (or a national disgrace to be proper) with bud selig dragging his incompetent feet. i love the wildcard being added, but sometimes the guy just drives me nuts!
harry potter tonite!
my work got in on a special screening of harry potter & the goblet of fire tonite - yippee for me!!

classes in the spring
my classes for the spring will be more interesting than my current ones. i'll only have one class during the week and it's on all of Paul's writing. the work will be hefty, but it'll be the only class I have to report to weekly (tues-thurs 9:30a-10:45a).
i'll have two weekend classes and one is actually in orlando. for that one, it's just a friday in february and a friday in april. that class is on prayer and looks interesting. i'm hoping to turn the february weekend into a visit to spring training, but sadly they'll only be practicing at that time. i'm pretty determined to go to some spring training games so i may have to make a third trip to florida in march.
however, the other weekend class is on a thurs, fri., sat. in march here on campus. for both classes i'll have to do some work before and after the lecture sessions, but it'll be nice to just have the one class during the weeks of the semester.

happy anniversary to us!
3 years and counting! wow, time flies. something that always makes me laugh is that of that time, we've only not been going through pregnancy or being parents for like 5-6 months.
lindsay just got her flowers at work and we're getting ready to go run some errands and go to the dentist before we pick up jake and go out to a very special dinner. we were hoping to have someone come in on last weekend or this coming weekend and babysit jake while we went to the melting pot for a full dinner, but we're going to a really nice italian restaurant we've been wanting to try.

catching up
well, jake was elmo for halloween except for the fact that he didn't really get around to wearing his costume on the day of halloween. we took a few pictures when he was playing in it on another day though.
my cousin was released from the hospital on nov. 1 (exactly a month after the accident), but he goes in for therapy every day so he and his parents are staying at the ronald mcdonald house there in atlanta.
i meant to post a note that i went to another chapel and it really is a different experience than sitting in my office and watching it on tv occasionally. the Spirit is there in the worshipping community, but it doesn't really get broadcast on the tv. as you can tell, the service was awesome. anyways, it was like nazarene day that day as we had a speaker from mecca (kansas city headquarters) and my uncle the kentucky district superintendent showed up as well. they had a talk back / discussion at lunch and then us nazarene students all got taken out to dinner by the philly ds who is sort of asbury's student liason with the denomination. we went to bella notte and it was great as usual.
ut has really tanked this year, but the nats have made a couple of good offseason moves. here's to hoping that new owners will be named by thanksgiving - that would be something to be very thankful for. on the baseball subject, my nats team on ea mvp baseball 2005 is almost into september with a healthy lead on the nl east.
