updates

yeah yeah yeah - i've been slacking on posting

(didn't i just say that recently?). oh well, it's been pretty normal around here.

the internet class went well and i've been back at work for a week. things are going good and we've been trying to balance our time with keeping at the working out. i've lost over 10 pounds, but guys usually lose a first bit pretty quick. i'm about 3-4 pounds from my goal for the month.

my cousin joseph came up last week and we went to renew books at the seminary library. they let you keep them for 6 months (!!) and i have no idea how many they let you keep out at once but i have something like 30-40 checked out. why? many are books i've been keen to read /review / skim but don't care to buy (well, unless they turn out to be great).

i'll be working on my project from my internet class and i'll post a link when it is more complete. should be fun! final semester is coming soon! only a couple more weeks to relax!

new year, new practices

i know, i know - "but how long will it last?"

well, we joined a gym with a year contract so hopefully it will last the whole year or i'll get pretty upset that we're wasting money. we hit it hard saturday and worked out for nearly two hours. okay that was mostly getting a personalized training regimen from the owner - but if done swiftly it could be done in a bit over an hour. we did 15 minutes on a bike to warm up and 30 minutes on a treadmill for cardio and cool down. the rest of the time was going to each machine, getting our best seat spots and weights for our reps, and then doing two sets of around 12-15 reps on each machine. i think we did around 10 machines? two per muscle group (hips, thighs, chest, shoulders, arms)

we're doing good with eating healthy and in moderation as well. i don't mind - it's yummy. tonight is our second big night in the gym - should be fun. one of the biggest bonuses is that they have free childcare - would be nearly impossible otherwise.

happy new year!

welcome to 2008! a wild year -

graduation, possible start of pastoral ministry, a presidential election, summer olympics, february 29th - enjoy!

for new year's eve, we had our friends from small group over and played wii all evening - was a blast! we had a king of tennis, a queen of ping pong, and disputed championships in fishing and bowling.
