you wouldn't believe, part 2
less than 10 minutes after the previous post, that family called ...
i was able to go visit the man and the rest of the family in person this time. all i'll say is please pray.
you wouldn't believe me if i told you
but here goes. i went on my first hospital visit as an associate pastor yesterday and ...
was a bit nervous as could be expected. where do i park? where do i go? will this "official minister in good standing in the church of the nazarene" card really be all i need? or do i need to find the chaplaincy office too? i called the pastor at our last church and talked to him about it and he basically answered all those questions, gave me a few tips, and a pep talk (thanks!!).
ok, so there's a newly opened central parking garage at the uk hospital. from there, you just ride a shuttle to the main entrance and there's the info desk and you're golden. so, i'm waiting on the shuttle and who steps off? the exact people i was going in to find and visit with.
so that was nice. i'll still have to figure out the inside of the hospital some day, but i'm glad i didn't miss the opportunity to visit and pray with them for a few minutes.
